Beginners Ballet (Drop In Class)What it is?
Ballet is a wonderful way to improve head to toe muscle tone, flexibility and co-ordination. It is a fantastic mental escape, a break from daily life that works your mind, improves co ordination, musicality and develops muscle memory connections in the body. Our Adult classes provide a welcoming and encouraging environment. Who? Ballet is not just for the petite, young or athletic. Adult ballet is growing in popularity with woman and men of all ages and abilities. Whether you have never step foot in a ballet studio, or used to dance at a child and would like to refresh and brush up the basics - all are welcome in our classes. Why? The sheer joy of dancing is an unbeatable feeling once you let the music and movements take over. In addition to the art and technique of Ballet, is a great workout that may help to shed pounds, tone, lengthen, stretch and strengthen muscles beautifully. Nearly every inch of muscle will be actively engaged in class, it is particually strengthening for the upper back, impoving posture and grace. Ballet is effective at sculpting the arms and toning the legs and buttock areas. What do I wear? Canvas flat ballet shoes with elastic are idea; but socks can be worn at first if you do not yet have shoes. General workout clothing or dance wear. Bring a bottle of water to sip and a small towel to mop up sweat! How much? £50 10 class mix 'n match card or drop in rate £7 per class. When?

What it is?
Fun, easy to follow Latino inspired dance exercise class. Build up a sweat and develop a toned, dancer- like body. No partner required! The class incorporates exciting elements of Cha Cha, Samba, Salsa, Quickstep, and even the Charleston, taught with step by step instruction. Who? A fun dancercise class for people of all ages, abilities, sizes and fitness levels. No dance experience required. No partner is required, come and join the fun! Why? The class is a fun and glamorous way to work -out, keep fit and healthy! Enjoy the music and atmosphere! Gain confidence, learn new steps, new rhythms and dance yourself to fitness! Get in to the seasonal glitter ball vibe and 'keep dancing'! What do I wear? General work out clothing. Bare feet or dance sneakers. No outdoor shoes. Contemporary Dance - open LevelWhat it is?
Contemporary is a style of dance that combines a variety of dance techniques and methods, but generally focuses on a more grounded and organic way of moving. Contemporary dance also tends to focus on the architecture of the body in space and the use of contraction, release, fall and recovery. Classes will follow a structure of warm up, center based strength and flexability building exercises, moving patterns across the floor and a choreography combination. The dance experts at Chapel House Studios have created this class based on a range of styles inspired by the pioneers of contemporary dance including Isadora Duncan, Martha Graham, Merce Cunningham & Jose Limon. Who? These classes are designed for adult Males and Females with a reasonable level of fitness. Why? Classes are designed to increase and develop strength, flexibility, technique, muscle tone, fitness and to promote the joy of dance! The class allows participants to explore and experience their own momentum and breath, alignment and core strength. The class includes pliés, arm gestures, swings, rebounds, tilts, bends, lunges and travelling steps across the floor. If in doubt, come along and try it out! What do I wear? Dance & Stretch for 50yrs+What is it?
This music led dance and stretch, is a class made up of easy-to-follow exercises inspired by modern, ballet and contemporary dance. Movement is low impact, flowing and balletic. Who? This is a fantastic class designed for those who would like to gain the benefits of dance within a class specificity designed for a mature participant. Why? This class will gently and effectively work the whole body from head to toe! It is a great way to improve posture, tone and help keep joints mobile. What do I wear? Wear clothes that you can move in comfortably, slipper sock with grip / bare feet / ballet or jazz shoes. Bring a bottle of water. How much? Drop in £6 or discount with a mix 'n match 10 class card. Ameera Belly Dance (Drop In /Course)What is it?
Learn the glamorous Art of Belly Dancing with Ameera. Inspired by the stars of the Golden Era of Egyptian dancing, she will show you some movements that come naturally to your bodyshape. You will learn some fun, dynamic and easy to follow routines as well as the culture behind this art form. No dance experience required. Who? The age of my class participants (female and male) ranges from 16 (min age) to 70 year old. My classes are safe and supportive. My students are all shapes and sizes. You don’t have to lose weight to do belly dancing. Use your curves, don’t lose them! You don't have to show your belly...it's personal choice and up to each participant. Why? Because belly dancing makes you feel good! You will strengthen your core muscles, improve your posture, your balance and your flexibility, (never thought you could reach that top shelf!?). Walking tall and feeling confident, your self-esteem will be boosted. Some of my students have improved their sleeping and reduced their stress level. Ballet Tone, Sculpt & StretchWhat it is?
Ballet Workout is a method that fuses ballet floor barre with classical ballet, pilates and yoga stretch elements. A refreshing class that gently develops body awareness, strength, grace and all over muscle tone. Who? Suitable for adults with a reasonable level of fitness. Why? Develop the posture, poise and strength of a dancer. The method helps to develop long, lean muscles and gently strengthens and stretches your whole body. What do I wear? General comfortable work out clothing. Socks or bare feet. For hygiene, participants may bring their own exercise / yoga mat.
